Custom Stickers FAQ
Are your custom stickers waterproof?
Yes. Every sticker and decal we print is waterproof and UV-resistant, so it holds up indoors and outdoors. For the best protection against scratches, chemicals and fading, choose laminated stickers or add the optional laminate to die-cut and high-tack stickers.
How long do vinyl stickers last outdoors?
It depends on the material. Sticker sheets are rated for up to 4 years, laminated die-cut stickers and standard high-tack stickers for up to 5 years, and laminated stickers or high-tack stickers with the 3M laminate for up to 8 years. These figures assume normal conditions: a clean, flat surface and no constant direct sun.
Can I remove the stickers later?
Vinyl, die-cut and high-tack stickers use a permanent adhesive, so peeling them off can damage the sticker, the surface or both. Laminated stickers are the exception: their adhesive remains removable for roughly the first two years in typical conditions. Whichever you choose, test it on your surface first.
What is the difference between die-cut stickers and sticker sheets?
Die-cut stickers are cut to the outline of a single design and arrive as individual stickers, or grouped on a sheet when they're small. Sticker sheets are kiss-cut on one 8.5 × 11-inch backing, so you can mix many different designs on the same sheet and print the space around them.
What artwork files can I upload?
Vector PDF, AI and EPS files with outlined fonts give the cleanest result. JPEG, PNG, TIFF and PSD files work too when they're set up at full size and high resolution. Custom shapes need a vector cut path and 0.125 inch of bleed. Our team reviews every file by hand and only sends it to print when it will come out right.
