Everything You Get With a Mesh Banner

Material, printing, finishing and the extras that come standard: here's a rundown of our mesh banners.

The Mesh Material

  • Made from 8oz woven mesh vinyl
  • The sturdy mesh lets both wind and sound pass through
  • Resists billowing, so the display stays taut and easy to read
  • A better option than solid banners cut with wind slits

Available Sizes

  • Pick from dozens of sizes between 2 × 2 ft and 10 × 50 ft
  • Heights from 2 up to 10 feet
  • A maximum width of 50 feet

How It's Printed

  • Full-color printing with 6-color HP Latex technology
  • Our printers run in High Pass, High Quality Mode (6 passes at 1200 DPI) for crisp text and clean graphics
  • Image quality that matches solid vinyl banners
  • Bright, crisp print that stays easy to see in harsh outdoor conditions

Where Mesh Works Best

  • Built for windy outdoor spots where solid vinyl can rip or fray
  • A great match for chain-link fences and any other surface the wind passes through
  • Sound travels through it, which makes it ideal for stages and performance venues
  • Looks semi-translucent when hung between anchors, poles or trees

Hemming

  • Heat-welded fold-back hems come free with every banner
  • The hem reinforces the banner's structure where the grommets go
  • It stops fraying and helps your banner last longer

Grommet Choices

  • #2 metal grommets are included free of charge
  • Choose a grommet color that suits your design
  • Several grommet layouts are offered, including none at all

Mesh Banners That Stand Up to the Wind

We designed our mesh banners specifically for windy outdoor spots where an ordinary banner would get ripped apart. They're a better choice than banners with wind slits, which can hurt both how a banner looks and how well it performs.

Woven vinyl makes a sturdy mesh that the wind can blow through while still showing off bright, crisp printing. Because mesh banners resist billowing, they're less likely to get damaged, and your message stays taut and easy to read.

Sound passes through these banners too, so they're perfect for stage setups placed in front of sound equipment.

Solid Vinyl or Mesh Vinyl? Here's How to Choose

In the situations below, we suggest printing a mesh banner in place of solid vinyl:

Windy outdoor installations. Even moderate wind can rip or fray a solid vinyl banner and cut its service life short.

Chain-link fences. The same goes for any surface that lets wind through. Mesh lowers tension and billowing, both of which can damage your banner or make it hard to see.

Stages and performance spaces. Because sound travels through mesh, you can set it up in front of speakers and audio gear without hurting the sound quality.

Spots that call for transparency. Hang a mesh banner outdoors between two trees, poles, structures or any other anchors, and it will look semi-translucent, depending on the light.

Thanks to advances in printing technology, mesh banners now offer image quality on a par with solid banners. In the past, the only option was to cut lots of round slits into a solid banner so wind could get through. Those slits do improve airflow, but they also seriously weaken the banner's structure.
